I recommend sticking it out until you can comfortably afford no longer working there.

The longer you stay, the harder it is to leave. I know the economy is bad, but if you feel like there is no hope that things will ever really improve, keep your eyes peeled for something else, and move on sooner rather than later. I've worked at the same company for 17 years, and there have been some bad times, but luckily for me, things have gotten better and I LOVE where I work.

You have some power over your immediate environment. If you must stay, try to be the change you want. If you are positive and ethical and PATIENT, you can influence your surroundings, and even a little improvement is better than none at all.
Good luck!

I do it because I have no choice. I do it to sustain my family and myself. Just remember stress kills. If you can get out my advice is to do just that. I don't have many options where I am.

It's just a job. Get out now! Most of our time is spent on the job. If you can't do what you love, or love what you do you need to at least make a living doing a job that is good for right now. There is no perfect workplace, but some places just aren't worth the personal toll.

If you're worried about putting it on your resume because you haven't been there long (and you're worried it'll look bad), either explain why you left or don't put it on your resume at all.

I just keep going on the thought that it'll get better, and of course it sucks right now, but later it'll be good and I'll be glad I didn't give up.

Martin Luther King said (and I'm paraphrasing) that even a street sweeper can sweep like Michelangelo. It's really all in your head. Sure, you may not like it much, but I presume there are no superior alternatives at the moment, so you may as well enjoy whatever little things in it there are to be enjoyed. Soon enough, and with some effort, new opportunities will open up.
