I believe, like the stock market, our economy is related to our emotions. When we are happy we have money. I was happy when Bush left, but lots of people are weirded out by our new black president. They are scared and unhappy.

Seriously, which senator is the most like a common man that you know of? If you make over $100k a year, you probably don't struggle as much as someone who makes under the 30k. Pay your taxes and its paycheck to paycheck…in a small apartment with no luxuries. It's not easy but hearing how much money we give to other countries is pretty alarming. Why not create legitimate jobs in this country with the billion we are giving to Afghanistan? Census jobs dont cut it for "new job creation". Sorry Charlie!
I find it ironic that anyone thinks that either party has any idea with whats going on after all these years Seems like a game and the american people are the casualties. Why do we keep voting for least worst candidate? Seems like no end to the bad spending from either side is in sight. Can we even control our own congress, even in the slightest?

Neither party, the GOP or the democrats are clean when it comes to any economy related issue. Both have contributed to the mess we are still enduring. The solution is for the govt to ease taxes on small businesses, (the backbone of the american economy) because its the small businesses that generate money and jobs for the average person. If the government keeps hiring people, the tax base (public sector jobs) will not be able to support such a large govt and all its employees.

We also need to stop the massive govt fiscal waste that both parties are guilty of. Also, i think everybody needs to pay taxes, not just the middle and upper classes. Every single American needs to pay taxes. If every person paid, lets say 15% tax, and nobody got loop holes or tax returns we'd be better off.
