Do you smoke and why? Do you think marijuana should be legalized and why?

Its a fast growing subject. As a 19 year old part work and full time student I do it as a fun time with friends and connect with new unique people, and sometimes as a stress reliever and on average 3-6 times a week. Just wondering if you feel mit should be legal, do you smoke if not why not? and are you one of those people who think its gross wrong and dirty? Ihonestly dont think its wrong to enjoy some fine kush from time to time.

No. I think it should not be legal. I also thing alcohol and cigarettes should be illegal.

I wouldn't have any problem with the legalization of marijuana, but neither do I have much sympathy for stoners who play the victim and act as if they're being persecuted 1984-style. What would really change? The same people who yell loudest about freedom or about how alcohol and cigarettes are worse already smoke weed daily, right?

Seeing as alcohol is the only drug in which the withdrawl can be fatal, and that's legal, I don't know why everyone's so reluctant to make marijuana legal.

I mean, come on people, it's not even an addictive substance, which is more then I can say for the majority of sh*t that's being handed out like candy these days.

I personally hope that it becomes legal they won't add all those additives in the same way they did to tobacco.

I hope that Californians legalize pot. Personally I don't see what the big whup, whup is all about! I mean alcohol is legal causes more deaths than marijuana, so what's the big deal?!?

I smoke, It helps me explore the inner realms of myself. Because it helps with anxiety, creativity, and in vedic literature Shive himself gave cannabis to humans as a gift. Also it just plain gives you such a beeter feeling than what is legal to use in this country today Alcahol and tobacco, which oddly enought both inhibit cell death, where cannabis does not. Remeber, alot of it being illegal has to do with the paper business, cannabis could make indestructible paper and also could be utilizedas a bio fuel, besides legalizing it and taxing it, there are a host of other applications which it could be used for which also could generate much needed revenue. Personally I think people have been lied to about marijuana for a long time. It has been in use medicinally, and recreationally since the dawn of time, pot has only become a problem since it was prohitibed. We all know that it didn,t take long for the govt to see the prohibition of alcohol was ineffective, and caused major bloodshed, if it were legalized and I believe it will be soon, it will help, more than hinder the government. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOPQiGZURmA

I don't smoke weed anymore as I could lose my medical license should I get caught.

I am not opposed to legalization but probably would use very infrequently. Dunno, the older I get the less mind-altering substances really interest me. I rarely drink and when I do it's usually 1-2 glasses of wine/beer.

My only personal thing, and I realize this is how it effected me, it may not be how it effects you, is that I become kinda more self-centered, I would be planning my day around getting high, or waiting in my mind until I could get high. That means I would put off projects, make others 2nd in priority, and started to care less and less about stuff. For myself, that wasn't good.

It is a peaceable drug, I give it that. But it also increased my apathy, which is not good.

I just lump it in with smoking generally, which I'd like to see eliminated from society. Purely because of the massive social and economic costs of the massive amount of sickness and early death it causes. Marijuana also has a significant effect on mental capacity.. like the world needs more stupidity.

Having said that, I don't think the current legal situation makes any sense, treating users like violent criminals or thieves. I'd prefer to see it treated the same way as alcohol and cigarettes. Restrict its use to adults, prosecute those who provide it to kids, and tax the living hell out of it.
