We should all expect that someone is going to be offended eventually by something we've said. Personally, my feeling about that is... other people's opinions of me are none of my business. It's their problem and they can deal with it.

My current count is 66... but I'm sure it will reach well into the triple digits before the end of the year.

I don't know and I don't care. I do not exist to stroke egos. If you can't hold up your side of the conversation without resorting to, angry verbal attacks, emotional blackmail or manipulation, please, just leave the conversation. That way you can avoid looking and feeling like a fool.

Only one began to question and argue, belittleing me. He was like a pushy schoolyard bully. No matter what I said, he found fault. Finally I said, "The whole wide world is not America" meaning that other countries, like Iran, are not enjoying the freedoms we have here. This person couldn't make anything else to demonize me, so he put a question mark on my statement, turning it into a stupid question that a child might ask. Then he tossed me aside as being "little" and stupid. That way, he could feel big and smart. He could flex his muscles like the bully who showed that little old lady what a total idiot she is.

Or doubtless more accurately, who cares?

I am guessing that number, for me, is probably fairly high. That's OK though, cause like in life, am not overly concerned with making others feel good. (Though I attempt (most times) to be respectful in my differences of view.) Far more useful, imo, is to shake sh*t up and make people think about their entrenched worldviews, many of which are killing the planet's biota and destroying its lands and waters.

"Perhaps it would be better to just to lie to each other all the time and stroke each others egos?"
f*ck no. People who do that are Dolly Door-mats, and they drive me batty. I'll stroke someone when they've earned or deserve it!
