Instead of a drop of water that returns to the ocean...of God Conciseness...I prefer to think of my little drop expanding to receive the ocean :)

Why does it always make people angry when they are approached with a confidence in beliefs? More often than not, its met with extreme hostility to such extremes as crucifixion, burning at the stake or imprisonment. One can only hope that they find their way in this life or the next, or maybe their wish will come true and it truly is the end for their existence. Natural Soul-selection.

I didn't know what I thought about life before and after death until my second son was born and his personality (even in the womb) was so drastically different than our first son's that it shocked me. This made me wonder if we are incarnating with our own unique traits at the moment of inception. In essence, we are who we are to a certain degree, even before we start being shaped and molded by the world around us. So yes, I think we do have a soul and that it infuses our body with life and personality. Although I like the idea of reincarnation because it reminds me of school, like souls in constant education working towards evolving, I tend to like the lava lamp theory instead. At birth we break off from the whole and are infused with a certain slice of collective experience. We grow, live, evolve (hopefully) and when we die we return to the giant lava-soul-thingy (TM) , and our life experience is then absorbed into the collective for the betterment of us all. So we're separate while we're here but return to each other at death. Astrology can offer a great example of how different energies are infused into a soul at birth.
