Wanna have kids? How many? I dunno... 20? Cool.

Not sure if this has been discussed. What do you think? Attention seeking religious trolls or All-American Family? They seem nice enough, and they CAN afford it. Let's start from there.

Any basketball fans? 2 kids. 2 parents. Man on man defense. Anymore kids than that and you have to move to a zone defense, and one always slips through.

Crap. "Guild" was meant to be "guilt." My fingers lost control of the keyboard in the heat of my familial anxiety.

I don't think children would be a good option for me. I'm a happy aunt and a very happy mother of a 2 year old dog. I love children, I think they are fantastic. However, I'm too scared of s******g them up, or raising a banker who pulls off a ponzi scheme that leaves people in financial angst. Imagine handling THAT guild?! Not to mention, children are expensive! Education in America is expensive, and I do think it the responsibility of a parent to pay for their child's education to set them up for a successful future in which they are financially independent, well educated civilians who make a positive contribution to their nation and community. So no, too many risk factors involved with children. I'd rather go to Vegas and roll those dice.

Who are we to judge them?

personally, I think its silly. But, whatever floats thier boats. doesn't seem very responsible though

i think it's just silly. how could TWO parents give TWENTY kids enough attention? yes the older children help take care of the younger ones, but wow. i just think it's crazy. and i do think they seek attention. i mean seriously? let's be honest now. More than anything, I think it just annoys me lol.

20 kids! 20 times teenaged years. I'd be housed in a "Ya-ya House" and wrapped in a straight jacket drooling in a corner. It seems insane. To each his own.

I think we should applaud the fact they are homeschool their* kids(i think right) and that they are doing such as awesome job raising them. Plus, they are still married after 20 kids. That says something about them, christian or not. Also before the show they werent dirt poor they own several properties. So I can say confidently I'm sure they didnt start popping em out like that for fame and fortune. Why do we talk about Octo Mom. That was selfish of her !

Ironically, of course... the Duggers cash in on the Walmart principle: buy and consume in bulk, and there's far less waste generated overall. Go. Fig. sigh

Can your well being afford it?

I think they are genuine. If I had a lot of money I'd have way more kids than just two.

Nope, no breeding for me.

I would just think they are mental/clinically insane and would recommend some therapy/psychoanalyzing.

I've got two teenagers. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids dearly, BUT, if I had to go through these teen years again and again and again.....I'd lose my mind!!!

They don't look trolls. Trolls are creepy. Whatever their motivation is, I'd like to see them 15 years from now and see if their sanity is still intact!

I only wanted two. Had them. Been there. But life and marriages to men who already had children, had me raising seven sons. The good thing about stepsons is that you can give them back when you divorce, and raising them is shared with their real Mom.

I think it's religious conviction. I think that they believe that the attention is glorifying to God bc it spotlights their exuberance for Jesus, i.e., lighting a path for others to follow. (The path being exurberance, not the reproductive behaviors.) Perhaps to some it is. If one person turns from self destructive behaviors and seeks to live a life that, to them, honors God, then I suppose it's worth it. If the Duggars were unable to support the clan, whether it be physically or emotionally then I guess my answer would change.
