In retrospect, at this point in my life, it has become obvious to me how much of my life i have wasted "waiting."
Impatience, imo, is useless worrying and anxiety . For example, if i am waiting for a bus and it is running late, i may be anxious and impatient. Yet, the guy next to me has an important engagement to get to but is calm and patient. He is not worrying about the consequences of being late himself. He doesn't work himself into stress or panic. This other guy knows that being impatient, anxious, worrying is not going to bring the bus any sooner.
So, it is the same with the important issues you listed above. Impatience, stress, worrying is not going to bring these things any sooner. Yet patience may.
It's like trying/pushing too hard for "anything." It tends to push back.
imo, patience is not "waiting." It's letting things happen and being in each moment as it is.
Peace

Patience is definitely a virtue... as in, if you don't have it, you will suffer.. .such as you seem to be at least a little...

To have patience, you must let go of all the desire of wanting it NOW, and have faith that these things you are waiting for are coming... and are in fact already on their way. So all you need to do is sit back and think of the beautiful things to come...
In the meantime, get in there and do those dishes they're starting to smell... lol

Enjoy every wait. Simply enjoy where you are, you may never have to be there again. And then again, you might end up back in the waiting and you will know the ropes because you have studied being there when you were there in the first place. Take it all in and enjoy. These are the days you will look back on and you will wistfully say:

Back when i was single ...
Before I had kids....
The car I drove back when things were hard was...

Patience is a virtue, and virtue is a grace. Grace is a little girl who doesn't wash her face!
