Definitely in Europe. Not 100% on exactly what spot, but if I could go anywhere it would be Europe.

I'd have to go somewhere new, somewhere I'd never been. Tripoli or Ankara or Timbuktu maybe? New experiences always seem to open me up in a creative way.

Paris. The music, art, fashion, language, romance, food, glamor... I haven't been to Paris yet, but I imagine it to be a place that titillates all of the senses. I'm certain I'd be inspired by all of it.

San Blas islands, Panama...to learn from the Cunas. They create the most beautiful reverse-applique fabric art! I grew up in Panama (Canal Zone, actually), but I was never able to visit the San Blas islands. Their affiinity for bright colors appeals to me, and I am in awe of their ability to combine colors in pleasing combinations, layer upon layer.

Artistic inspiration is the desire to create, and in the moment of creation we are timeless. The creator is god of his world--or the reflection of His glorious image, if you're willing to risk that much--so, the location isn't all that important.

Having said that, I was surprised by the light and color of Provence, and I MUST paint here!
And now that I have a house in Provence, I can't afford to go anywhere else…as much as I want to…

I know it's cliche, but for some reason Italy holds my captivation of the abroad.

People who have been tell me it isn't exactly the land of dreams, but I think I would appreciate everything it has to offer.

DUBLIN, Ireland. I would sneak into James Joyce's house and live there, and somehow I wouldn't get arrested for doing that.

I would go where it was just me, the earth, and my thoughts because I am clearly a part of it as it is a part of me.

Damn, all the good answers are taken.....lol. You get inspiration from within. Its good to experience as much as possible, but in the end, its YOU who has to inspire yourself. Be enamored, be loved, hated, honored, and spited. Just be yourself and use what you know to FEEL inspiration. I spent waaaaay too long feeling nothing, but in the end, no matter where I went, what I did, or said......I inspired myself to do these things. So, go somewhere, stay home, read a book, or surf the net....it's up to you, but don't rely on others to tell you what to do. Live free and die trying
