You asked so I'll answer. Yes God loves them but God also has to punish law breakers Since were talking about a biblical Jesus I'm going to use the bible to answer the question (remember you asked). 1 Corinthians 6:9 Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals. "wheres the love in that?" The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the atonement for your sins all you have to do is give it up and put your faith in him.

I was just talking about this with a gay friend of mine. While he doesn't believe God exists, because why would he let this (discrimination of homosexuals, etc) happen. Why would God put them on this earth just to be hurt and ridiculed. I fully believe that when the time comes, and you come face to face with God, it's not going to be about who you love in this world, but how you were as a person. Did you love? Did you have compassion? Were you a good person? That's what I believe is going to be the deciding factor in wether we get into heaven or not.

The Romans were free-loving and loved sex any way it came, and we all know how the Romans treated the Christians. Homosexuality became a "sin" because what makes you a Christian? Not being Roman. If fundamentalists really listened to Jesus' every word, they'd all be unwed celibate hippies just like him, but you don't see anyone following those rules, do you? So why obsess over some random, obscure, unclear reference in the Bible about homosexual behavior? Because the Romans did it, and God forbid they act like the Romans. Or did He?

He loves ALL people, but that doesn't mean he is accepting of their behavior. He hates sin and homosexuality is sin. It says in Romans 6 I believe that it is sin and not good. But their sin in no worse than ours. We are all sinners that need a savior.

i was down wit this until the part "he hates their sin", to me the only true sin of mankind is that we lost touch with our true pure spiritual selves and became completely identified with our egos........i certainly don't think that its a sin to be gay.....of course i myself am a lesbian (so of course i would feel that way right) but i think i would feel that way even if i was straight and i hope we get to a point someday where homosexuality isn't looked upon as something strange or abnormal or sinful.....whatever gets the juices flowin ppl

He died for them, didn't He? I've not been to the website you mentioned nor do I have the desire; but their name carries the semblance of a trend that is more about self-empowerment over others and condemnation, than God. And it would seem to have nothing to do with Christ. He came not to condemn, but to offer salvation.

The true key of this is homosexuality a learned trait or something that one is born with. If you believe that homosexuality is in genes, brain chemistry or anything like that you cannot assert that they are a sinner and homosexuality is wrong. Because it would be like saying God doesn't love mentally challenged people because they cannot pray/understand the Bible. Also it goes against the thought that God doesn't create something that is predestined to be damned. Most gay people assert that they have always been the way they were. So personally I think the Leviticus texts are from another ancient culture that no longer is applicable to current standards considering modern knowledge.

I also think that Jesus loves everyone, sinners included. However, I do not see homosexuality as a sin. It is not something that can be controlled. Some people may suppress homosexual feelings, but they shouldn't have to. If God didn't want people to be homosexual, why would he create people that way?
