Why is it that when we here that question as kids, we always think of a profession? I wanted to be an OBGYN. But now that Im 24, still young and still growing up at points, all I want to be is Happy and Comfortable.

I also wanted to be a vet but decided not to be for the same reason. I also wanted to be an Olympic gymnast, but my mom wouldn't let me take gymnastics. She said I would break all of my bones.

I wanted to be a movie star. I remember when I was four, the first time I realized this, I ran downstairs and begged my mother to move to Hollywood and get me into acting. I can't say I'm still not a little bitter that they wouldn't do it.

I wanted to create computer games. I've only recently realized that the reason behind that was that I wanted to create worlds and stories. I tried studying programming as a youngster but that was not for me. Later I studied art and drawing but decided I wasn't interested in a career in that field. A short while ago I had the epiphany that what I always really wanted was to write, so now I've finally started to develop that latent capacity in myself and I'm enjoying it immensely :)

I was convinced that I would live home forever and be a dog breeder with my mom. Rethought my priorities on that one.

I think I wanted to be a writer, artist, photographer, doctor, and all that normal stuff. I was quite normal as a child. Now I don't know what happened. But, I think at one point, I wanted to be a unicorn trainor or a tailor for ninjas. I think that was when I was twelve when I decided that, though.

Army, doctor, architect, hitman, doctor, lawyer, rich and a youth minister. That was my list. Army was at eleven or so, and the idea of being rich went out the window the first time I got 'enlightened' at fourteen. Since then I have just wanted to be a bum that helps people.

I always wanted to be an artist. Never questioned what else I would be. Went to art school for college and enjoyed years of doing it. UNTIL, the industry changed and everything went digital. I'm back at school learning web stuff. I'm a bit pissed that I've known my entire life what I was gonna do and then it all stopped and I have to start over.....Oh, you don't even know the half of it!!!!

A world traveler. I would lock myself in the closet before I even knew how to read and pretend I was traveling to all the places in the national geographic books we had.

Now all "grown up" I travel for pleasure but not for a living. I still have that dream.

The same thing happened for me when I was like in the fourth grade. Then I wanted to be a coroner, crime scene investigator, artist, chef, teacher (just so I could write on the board), or a medical photographer.
