What I find attractive in a man is intelligence, a sense of humor, and someone who is confident and knows who he is. I'm so turned off by hollywood constatntly feeding it's viewers with emphasis on the physical. Mc Dreamy, Mc Steamy or whatever the hell...HUGE turn-off.

intelligence and personality turn me on. i like someone who more than a reflection of the world around them, i like someone who makes the world respond to them.
i like people who are outside of the box, the ones who might be labeled a little "weird, freaky, or odd". i like spontaneity, but also reason. someone with a sound mind and a body that drives me wild.

To the extent that we are manipulated, evolution seems to have some pretty strong opinions on the subject, it is not by the media. The media is merely the tool. The ideal consumer of products even remotely pertinent to sexual attractiveness is insecure about their attractiveness. Those manufacturers try relentlessly, and not without success, to create ideals which are very difficult to attain and thereby increase insecurity and ultimately sales. Cartoons with men like steroid addicts and women like playboy bunnies, in particular, really piss me off.

In terms of physical beauty, well, every bloke has his taste. I like 'em 5'6" and up, nice figure that looks like she takes care of herself but doesn't purge, fair skin, dark hair and intense eyes.
For years I had a mad crush on Juliette Binoche. (bites hand remembering her in 'Bleu')

What makes a woman beautiful is very subjective. I think Paris Hilton and Madonna, for example, are at best plain. I wouldn't want to be with either of them. ( I acknowledge that if they saw me, it would probably be mutual.)

I first see eyes and then the smile. Skinny women are not pretty. I like a woman who is shaped like a woman, not a boy. I tend to appreciate darker skinned women more, though my wife is a blonde. Mixed race and hispanic women, cafe au lait skin is gorgeous.
I like long hair, curly or straight. Two of the most beautiful women I have ever seen are Sophia Loren and Gina Lollabrigida. You're prolly too young to know who they are / were.
Finally, I don't care how a woman looks, if she isn't intelligent, it goes out the window.
