Far better to take the chance and let the chips fall where they may, than to sit at hope and twiddle your thumbs and wonder at the possibilities.

It depends upon the person and perhaps it is an american thing- but over here in Europe where I live, nobody- and I mean NOBODY -gives out an invitation like that. Too wishy washy. Some people like it when one drops in unannounced. Personally- I think it is kind of s S****y cop out to say "Come over any time" when basically I have no idea when he is even at home or what he is doing. I wouldnt even accept an "invitation" like that. And it isnt fear of rejection- it`s that I wouldnt want to waste my time going over there not knowing if he is even at home. The solution for me is to have other friends and to be too busy to take somebody up on a S****y "invitation" like that.

If you're not out there taking chances, you have no opportunity to be rejected. Rejection is an opportunity. You have to go thru a few rejections to get to the good stuff. Or, you can just sit at home and watch TV; no rejection there.

Eat lots of chocolate ice cream, and hang out with "real" friends. Let go of what you don't have.

I think the more rejection you get the beter, it makes you embrace it more and makes it easier to get over the next time... thats what i teach in wingman 101 ha
