I am just so glad the other guys weren't taking any of her sh*t and tried to put her in her place. Too bad she was freaking brainwashed. How else could you wear a sick twisted smile like that when talking about hatred and ignorance. Jesus was awsome these people need serious help

This is the type of Christian fundamentalist that scares the living sh*t out of me. "It's the Bible or nothing and all of the bad things are to make you obey." I'm sorry, but what the hell?

"Why won't you just obey. The Scripture says..." Biblical inerrancy is not something I believe in, and if this "human being" doesn't sound like an ideologue, I don't know what does.

There are a couple of documentaries out on the WBC, if you feel like testing the strength and endurance of your circulatory and nervous systems.

Were I in the position to do so, I would see this woman, and those like her, eradicated.

However, that being illegal, I would settle for the law prosecuting these motherfuckers for hate speech and harassment, as well as the violation of their recently passed bill, to the greatest extent possible.
I do not loathe these sorts for any personal reason. I rather hate them because they cause so much pain and suffering, and do it with a smile. It's sick, and cruel, and unacceptable, completely against all basic human ideals. They do not deserve to live.

and to make matters worse, they actually regard them as a church and not a cult. Like you said, they would be more accurately described as a cult. When I hear "church" it conjures images of huge marble buildings filled to the brim with people singing, I guess I am just a sucker for poor wording sometimes lol =P

They are little kids. The Westboro Baptist church is full of two year olds throwing temper tantrums. They will shout and hollar until they get their way. They love the publicity. And just like one would do with a two year old throwing a tantrum, I think if we all gave them the cold shoulder and acted like they weren't there they would shut up and move onto a new activity.

Anyways, I've heard of these as*holes before. It's just...it's psychosis. It's brainwashing, pure and simple. If anything can be learned from these people, it's what the passive demonizing of homosexuality in American culture can do to someone who is mentally unwell. Because I have to be honest with you: the man who leads the cult (because it's an insult to the concept of religion to call that [yeah, I'm going to say it] abomination to human nature a church), who is the woman speaking on the show's father, strikes me as a closeted gay man with just enough self-hatred and the exact right screw loose to create a goddamn nuclear explosion inside his head.
But honestly, the more we talk about these people, the more we fuel them. If I could choose a group to wipe out of existence, it would be them. Because, at this point? They're far past redemption. Any children in the group can stay. Anyone older than 18? Goodbye. Gone.

The big smile on her face is creepy. But it shows how happy she is to be receiving publicity- clearly they are into attracting attention. Me thinks it would be best to ignore them, rather than impose new laws that generalize to everyone and could one day restrict your right to protest.

I found it humorous when Hannity showed his utter lack of self-awareness by saying, "The fact that you use religion to justify your hatred this way is mind-numbing". Right back at ya Sean!

I am just waiting for "the one" to post on here. You know, the one who thinks this crap is acceptable. I am actually somewhat interested to hear what they have to say in their defense.

The only reason this is even noteworthy is because it was put on the news. A small handful (or apparently just one really fucked up family?) of wackos is nothing new.

This is just wrong. I understand they have the right to assemble and freedom of speech but this is morally and ethically wrong in my opinion. I saw Hannity interview this woman a few years ago, this might be the same clip, but it bothers me when he tells her that she is crazy and misguided and sick and she just keeps smiling and has a sick look in her eye. This church is just sick, it has about 80 members from what I know and they are all related. No wonder people become so turned off to religion with people like this. I feel so sorry for the soldiers' families.

I think it's bogus how one family sued the protesters and the judge is making the family pay for the church's legal feed, almost $16,000. Luckily Bill O'reiley paid it for them.
Their logic that God wants soldiers dead because they defend a country that supports gay rights it so flawed. If they truly knew God they would know that you show a person love no matter what. It's unconditional. This really makes me upset.
So in my opinion, yes, she should be punished as should all others who engage in these protests. I wonder what would happen in other countries if this happened? Can anyone offer a little insight who is not in America? What are the rights to assembly and freedom of speech?

I can understand her reasoning and the news casters. She is wrong but I can still understand how her perception became so twisted. I hope being on the news will bring her some humility and shed some light on her own shortcomings because it scares me how far down the rabbit hole of faith she has gone.
