Have YOU Noticed?

Have you noticed that the people who hate trolls are now becoming trolls?

For example, someone might ask a light, fluffy question like "Should I eat at McDonald's or Taco Bell?" And people will reply with "This is one of 'Life's Big Questions'? Wow!" or "Go away." (And normally the person who has said "Go away" has said earlier that we "need to get rid of the trolls").

I will not name names... You know who you are.

whenever i see one of these posts, i always go "Oh sh*t! I hope I'm not one of them!" and then I try and monitor myself and make sure I don't post any crap.

I do hope I'm not a troll :P

I also have evaluated several of you more...well you more bitchy people through this post. Thank you, now I know who to steer away from.

And yes, to answer your question, I do occasionally see such activity.

I am irritated by stupid vapid questions about restaurants and teenage dating agnst, mostly cause they drive the good questions off the board. The obscene and racist is something to ignore.

However, the trolls here have certainly found fertile ground. Everybody talks about how they dislike the troll trip, yet, this question has the most responses of any on the board. Most just have to look, and that's enuf fodder to keep the phenomenon alive. What'd'ya think that means??

I've been kind of distracted lately, but I do occasionally lurk here. And I have noticed a lot of useless questions. I had hoped for better.

1. Seriously--we're using the word "troll" waaaaay too much. The label "troll" is only relevant for people who are deliberately offensive and trying to bother people, not people who disagree with you, are sarcastic, or voice a less-than-popular opinion.
2. Although "go away" is not the wording I would have chosen because it is impolite, those people have a legitimate point. There is a time and place for the Taco Bell-type questions, and SoulPancake is not necessarily it.

I was telling that NaomiT b*tch to go away for a while, because "she" (im not convinced) was a ubertroll for a while, now i just ignore her completely, because now she tries to ask normal questions. So i suppose you are talking to me with this question. I don't care.

Wow, harsh thread. Trolls are cool! They have long colorful hair, no clothes and jewels in thier belly buttons!! I fail to see a downside

I don't consider those who ask these particular kinds of questions necessarily "trolls". Though I do have to wonder why one can't make a simple decision about where to eat without the input of an entire internet community.
Trolls are much more offensive.
