I believe in a God that is all good and not wrathful. The God that I believe in exists in the worlds natural state, in nature, in the harmony of all things good and beautiful. God is like music. Flowing, graceful, empowering.

In a nutshell: I believe that we are all children of God. Before this life we had no knowledge of good or evil. He sent us to this life for us to prove ourselves, and to show that once we knew evil we would still use our agency to do good and follow his commandments. By living a life worthy of him we show that we want to return to live with him after we die.

Humans try to ascribe our thought process and emotions to an unmentionable, untangible energy that is the universe.......then only true thing i have ever seen or felt that has even come close to most ideas of god is the Earth itself....Earth is god...

fosterroberts I believe in evolution. We are God and we are the creators of our lives. Having the thought that some higher power watching over me...makes no sense. I think it just helps people feel secure thinking they have a parent figure their own life.

I believe that God is in everything. And if God is in everything around me ... then He too is in me. And He is in you. And we have a choice in every moment of every day to live our lives from our Higher self as Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, Mother Teresa and others lived ... or we can choose to live from a place where our ego sits. It is our choice. God wants us all to wake up and become conscious to see how truly connected we all are. Sometimes it takes our lives to spin out of control to get that wake up call. It's called a "come to Jesus moment!" But the best part is that although there will be times that we do not live from our higher self ... that is OK ... all we need to do is recognize this and do better next time. God does not want us to beat ourselves up for getting it wrong. He wants us to grow through our mistakes ... it is all a part of our journey. I find that if I know God is in everyone then who am I to say I am better than anyone else? I cannot. Not if I am truly honest with myself. God did not put us here to judge one another but only to love one another and see how truly connected we all are. Many have said that living your life with compassion as your foundation will heal you in ways you cannot imagine. Do you know the difference between compassion and sympathy? Sympathy can break your heart and compassion can break your heart open. God wants us to live our lives with our hearts broken open so that we can draw from a place where forgiveness and compassion and love for others is the norm. God put us here to create. We all have a purpose ... a song to sing ... a book to write ... a painting to paint ... a cake to decorate ... what ever it is that is in you. Let Him guide you. Be His instrument. God is love. And love is all there is ... everything else is an illusion.

How much time do you have? :-) In a word, God is awesome. "I'm not too sure of he controls us, or drives us. I think he watches, though. I think he can see all of us and just watches us." If He is a God of love (which He is), He will not control us. (If He were not a God of love, He would have destroyed us a long time ago and be done with it!) He drives us with the help of His Spirit if we will allow Him to. (And praise God He does drive me; otherwise I would crash..... haha.) He definitely watches us, but He doesn't "just" watch us. He interacts with us (once again, if we allow Him to) and relates with us on a personal level. That's my God.

I am a self-diagnosed agnostic. While I do believe that at one point in time, the world and universe were created by a greater force. I strongly believe that God does not sit in the clouds and save us from potential harm or corruption, but I respect those who do. I need proof, but will there ever come a time in which we know the truth? Until then, God must remain a mystery to be in constant question from ordinary people at all walks of life.

@fosterroberts What you describe with the Sims is basically Deism, what many of the founding fathers of America were: their analogy was the great clock maker, who built the clock and set it in motion, and that everything that came afterwards was out of his/her hands. I am not trying to tease, but your belief in "an ominous force" made me smile. I think you mean omniscient or omnipotent. Either that or you must think the world is a pretty scary place! :) My own god is non-existent, but being made up of the same starstuff as the rest of the universe makes me feel connected to everything, and that's enough.

It's not a god so much as a spiritual companion type thing. It is very hard for me to describe it because it is a relatively new idea for me, but it is something that I believe in my heart to be real. It's a very personal part of me, which is probably why it is hard for me to describe.

Ominous? Did you really mean ominous, as in threatening or menacing? God as I know God is a force for good. He is the source of peace, love, and wisdom. He does not control us, but he does watch--with tenderness and care, not judgment. God is manifested in everything that is--the earth, humankind, the plants and creatures of the earth, the stars. And God is much too complex to adequately express in any words.
