The information has been discovered only recently using advanced equipment to measure the temperature, salinity, density, etc... the human eye cannot see the diferent between the seas that meet, rather the two seas appear to us as one homogenous sea.

Let me further explain the parting of sea down the middle with the Qu'ran. "He has set free the two seas meeting together. There is a barrier between them. They do not transgress." again Muhammad verifies "He is the one who has set free the two kins of water, one sweet and palatable, and the other salty and bitter. And He has made between them a bearrier and a forbidding partition."- Qu'ran. This barrier is at the Gibraltar Sill, which is the barrier that rests between the two seas.

i have read parts of the Quran and have great respect for it. It is not easy reading for us westerners but then I know people who find the Bible difficult to read and are confused about all the different ways to interpet readings in either book. Perhaps the best way to learn about any religion is from someone who loves it.

Oh yeah and God wasnt angry really, just implying His tactics that have always been in place. Justice. And the people at this time were completely lost and bewildered... they treated Muhammad so terribly he was serving as a warning of their wrong-doings... that was sadly interpreted as anger. =(

A friend of mine is a Muslim (actually, I have a couple of friends who are Muslims) and she gave me a copy of the Qu'ran. I stopped reading it after the first 100 verses because nearly 25 out of the first 100 mentioned God's wrath and displeasure for humans. It did not sound like the God of the Bible at all. The God of the Bible is slow to anger (Exodus 34:6, Numbers 14:18, Nehemiah 9:17, Psalm 86:15, Psalm 103:8, Psalm 145:8, Joel 2:13, Jonah 4:2, Nahum 1:3). This is not to say that God never gets angry, but His wrath is saved for when His patience has been exhausted. I was appalled to read the account in the Qu'ran of God destroying a large group of people and then bringing them back to life again just so that they would believe in Him. I don't believe God would do this. This would be forcing people to worship Him, and God doesn't do this because He gave us free will. God is patient with us and understanding of our ignorance.

From what i understand, the Qur'an can only be properly read in it's native language, or else it loses it's "essence" in a sense. Can't remember the word they used. The presence of God, or the Word of God is only true if it's in Arabic. I have not read any version of it however, i would like too one day.

Just to let you know Mohammed appeared over a thousand years ago... and few even bother to look at this question, let alone His work and deed of the Kingdom. That means it took scientists 1000 years to figure out what this illiterate man knew. And it's not just one or two facts.... I like that poem I_AM I like the wine and pure water part the best.

Sufism poetry: The Morning Wind Spreads The morning wind spreads its fresh smell. We must get up and take that in, that wind that lets us live. Breathe before it's gone. Thy Spirit is mingled in my spirit even as wine is mingled with pure water. When anything touches Thee, it touches me. Lo, in every case Thou art I!" http://wahiduddin.net/sufi/sufi_poetry.htm" target="_blank">http://wahiduddin.net/sufi/sufi_poetry.htm
