Just a thought...

Let's assume I loved "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac (I did). And further, that I felt a deep personal connection to the character Dean Moriarty (through some innate need of my own to know such a person) - to the point where I feel as though I know him, and even further, that he speaks to me. It's easy enough to imagine, people do it all the time. Humans can construct elaborate works of imagination that are subjectively quite real (consider the common "invisible friend" that many children devise).

Now consider God in that context. Discuss.
