I have never really wanted to be famous, I mean I'll take the rich part but only if I can still be a private person. I really do feel bad for some celebs that get followed around day and night by the paparazzi, I know that if I was famous I would not be a free man for very long due to bashing in the skull of some lowlife scumbag trying to get a picture of my kids or something like that.

at this point in my life, not very long. I wouldn't be able jump up and down on Oprah's couch or to b*tch slap Brooke Shields.

Not long-- it has to be exhausting..the fame monster is unforgiving. I do think some people play that card well, there are "celebs" and there are actors. Some people court the paps and then regret it later. Seeing Kendra Wilkinson after the superbowl made me sad---but she's one that was totally on that sheeze as much as she could get it. Did she really think they'd go away when the baby came?

I think most SMART people stay out of TMZ-- look at Demi Moore...moving to get away from it all worked so well for many, many years. Not a lot of actors can do that though..their egos are too big.

I think every young musician dreams of being a big rock star or country star. I certainly entertained those thoughts.

What's been interesting for me as I am now in my 40's and to look at some of famous musician who have generally been the same age as myself and what their lives have been (as much as we can see granted).
Some like Sting, Springsteen, Bono have done well, others like Boy George and Micheal Jackson turned out tragic and probably not what they really enjoyed.
I can think of no greater prison than to be famous now. It's why I don't really poke fun at young stars such as Brittney Spears or Lindsey Lohan who get into trouble or have melt downs. Good Lord, they are still children, which one of us really knew who we were at 20, 30, even 40. That kind of money at such a young age, is there any reason they aren't messed up.
We dream of becoming famous, I wonder if they dream of just becoming a normal citizen.
