@sarahdarling definitely 7th grade. i'll have flashbacks, but 7th grade is the idea for the very thing mentioned here. the idea for "welcome, to my life" (i'm not naming anything there. ) it's just cool.

I like this question.
BEGINNING: (First day of highschool, freshman year) "Go Places" by The New Pornographers
I have this really clear idea of a shot of me sitting on this dirty bus going to school on the first day while bridge and chorus of this song plays.
MIDDLE: (About right now in my life, later highschool years) "Henry David Thoreau" by a band called the Hundred Acre Woods.
They're just three kids from Pennsylvania, but they wrote this totally rad song about highschool and it's bullshit and liking books. Here's their myspace, I totally recommend checking it out. http://www.myspace.com/thehundredacrewoods1
END (Graduating college, or dropping out, or doing something generally awesome around the age of 25ish): No Future Part Three: Escape from No Future by Titus Andronicus.
The last 90-ish seconds is just "You will always / be a loser!" over and over again, but it ends with "And thaaaaat's ooooookay!" Which is totally applicable.

Birth: "Antennas to Heaven" by GY!BE
Kind of a long opener but it starts off talking about putting a finger in a baby's eye so I guess it works.
Middle Stuff: "b*****d" by Ben Folds
Very "middle-aged" sounding song.
End: "Snow Days" by Real Estate
It sounds like an "end credits" song and I love it.

The movie of my life would probably start sometime around 7th grade, since that's when all the interesting stuff happened, and that would probably open with Zzzzz by The Cab.
