Became a fan of RW on Facebook. Saw mention of it. Paid no attention. Made a twitter account, saw more mention of it. Gave it a looksee. Its right up my alley. As soon as I saw what it was about I immediately joined.

This all happened in mid-December or so, so yes, Im new. And Ive stuck with it cuz y'all are just so fun. Lol. Its typically an anger-free zone, which I like because I like to talk about beyond average subjects.
Nothing extravagant.

1) I liked the concept- I love asking/answering/thinking about questions. Really, 99% of my thought process is in questions.

2) The format of the site. It's really well put-together. And, like others said, the background art is cool (though I didn't notice that until later).

Well, I checked it out via Rainn Wilson from Twitter.... Looked around, really liked the look and fell of the site... REALLY liked the art in the background... Answering these questions are good writing exercises really... Plus they help one find ones self.

Hi guys...
why did you join soul pancake...?
mmm its getting harder to remember....(must be my old age)
after all its not as if there aren't enough teenagers out there ready to say yah boo at you when you suggest that scribbling on the doors is a bad thing...(and spelled wrongly)
I guess its because in among the ordinary and the extremely juvenile there are some real gems. Popeskippy has perhaps more wisdom than I in not wanting the last word and simply copying our good old cricketer, Geoff Boycott, and blocking and subtly turning away all the fartynoise bowled at his legs.
however, I will continue to celebrate
FREEDOOM....
to those fans of Braveheart -
and a good united kilt lifting at the green comedian, Scott of the Arch-antic...
we're here because its all such fun, don't you think...

I came across it on Rainn's twitter and absolutely fell in love with the small phrase "Chew on Life's Big Questions". I joined instantly and have been chewing on 'em ever since. It's a great website for those who want to mull over substantive questions that require reflection! Awesome for thinkers!

I first came across this and though that it was strange and I didn't understand it at all... I soon answered a question that I would never think about. It was interesting to see what I thought I thought, but didn't really think about what I thought that I thought.

I originally joined it because I saw it gave little creative tasks to do every once in a while. And I'm desperate for anything creative to do. The activities on here are fun and out of the ordinary.

But then I really got into the questions people post on here and I really like the fact that people challenge each other and learn. And grow. It's nice to have this sort of online community. :)

Funnily enough (besides the fact that funnily is, in fact, an actual word) its because Rainn told me to. How'da known it would actually be an amazing source of inspiration and awe on a daily basis? You guys rock!

I heard about it from RW and came to take a look. Now I'm just about living here. So many great, interesting, infuriating people. It's very addictive.

Funny how it feels like a family and yet is relatively anonymous. Good combo for airing one's musings.

I want to be a part of the community that communicates with each other even if we disagree with each other. I can learn much from those that see things with different eyes and soul pancake gives an opportunity to be a voice to those who want to learn from me as well. As a Christian I need to be salt and light in this world and this is a way to just that.
