you have to remember - we are only here to fart around - and then we die so material notions of success seem to me in my fifties, just so time limited and silly...happy NOW is the only success i can count...

Success for me will be raising kids that are better people than I am. I think I'm doing well so far.

If you ask Merriam, it's the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. I'd say if you've met your needs and you're happily contented, you're successful.

Like many other things, the only definition is the one that you define for yourself. Others may think you are incredibly successful or an utter failure, but it simply doesn't matter. Whatever you set out to do, after you've done it, then you get to decide.
