(Laughing Quietly To Myself) The above billboard has been used by a Church in New Zealand and the resultant furore it has caused illustrates the problem that Churches have trying to "Inspire young people to talk about the Christmas story",<br> <br> the Archdeacon who erected it said they had one woman threatening to tear it down and of all emails and phone calls, 50% in favour 50% hostile. Needless to say the Catholic Church was most offended "It's flying in the face of our 2000 year old beliefs" Lyndsay Freer, RC church spokesperson...<br><br> So do the Catholics believe that Joseph respected Mary's virginity that much that he became a lonely celibate - like their priests are supposed to? <br> funny that the Bible - which they have admittedly fiddled with for many of the first five hundred of those 2000 years - mentions Jesus' four brothers (Matthew 13:55; Mark 6:3.).<br> So they must be saying that Mary was a lousy lay and put up with sex like other obedient women of the day, and of the 2000 year out of date culture they wish to preserve.<br><br> me, I think it shows just what a huge problem the Church has in trying to stay relevant....
