I think it's lame. Vampires do not sparkle! These novels have gotten young people to read, which is great, bu they have no substance. And then after they have finished reading this series, they move on just to find another vampire series. ( it's pretty sad now because all these authors instead of coming up with something original, they just try and capitilize on the ever growing vampire craze). I know people who after reading Twilight, who just go and find other vampire romance novels, and that's all they read. Nothing else.

@brickwallview it could be taken seriously if it wasn't insane in many categories.

People NEED to get OVER IT!!! Yes, I understand that it was a good book- but c'mon people, it's not real. You can love it, just don't revolve your life around something that is make believe. I have not read the books solely for the reason that people are obsessing over it (my stubborn genes). I used to get along with my friends but now they talk about Twilight about 1/3 of the time I'm with them and I'm not with them alot. It's sad how people are drenched in this book. GET OVER IT. I saw and liked the movies to the extent of, "I saw a movie last night, it was good" not "OH MY GOD, I SAW TWILIGHT THE FIRST SHOWING AND IT WAS BEAULTIFUL!!!! *cry*" GETOVERITGETOVERITGETOVERITGETOVERITGETOVERITGETOVERIT

Haha I read all the books in a total of about a week, so yeah, you could say I love them. :) I have seen both the movies that have came out so far, Twilight and New Moon and LOVED them both. A lot of people always make fun of some people becasue we 'love' Edward or the books and movies and they think its because everybody else likes it but I like it because I enjoy it. Not because everybody else does. But yeah, I find the series very interesting and fun to read and watch.

@WarpedGlass1 Every relationship is abusive... in some form of another. We hurt the ones we love... @LovedOne - "Love the books...they're like crack cocaine for the 15 year-old girl in me!" - This pretty much sums up my long, goofy post. ;-)

Love the books! As far as the movies go...the first was awful, the second was much better. In my world, Breaking Dawn was never written, because it's just terrible. Stephanie Meyer isn't the best writer (by a long shot), but she created a world to get lost in and characters to love. Except Edward. There is no loving Edward, he's just awful.

I hate it with every fiber in my body... that woman has single handedly (no pun intended until I wrote it) slapped around one of my favorite gothic classics... I had to reread Bram Stoker's Dracula to get the images out of my head. That... and it's horrible writing.

People, stop pretending that this story is about vampires and werewolves. It's about teen romance. The vampire and werewolve stuff is secondary and replaceable. And to the few that are ashamed to like it, don't be. You should be ashamed if you think it's good literature. You should not be ashamed of liking something, even when you know it's bad. It's called a guilty pleasure, we all have them. Enjoy!

I really liked the books. I'm just upset that people had to take it too far and make me ashamed to like it.

I believe what makes the Twilight Saga so appealing..is that..its not your typical Vampire/ Werewolf story. Its actually about a love triangle that happens to involve mythical creatures..if i may call them that. lol! But the Vampire is not your typical vampire and neither is the Werewolves. There is so much back-story to all three sides that it is just a story on its own. I think that it is great that Books are becoming a phenomenon. Reading should always be encouraged and im glad that the Twilight Saga is putting forth that effort. As for the movies...i feel that they are as TRUE to the book as Hollywood can possibly produce. Of course nothing can compare to the novels. Its just fun and enticing to see the movie come to life on the big screen.
