Read "More Than A Carpenter" By Josh McDowell, "Case For Christ" and "Case For Faith" By Lee Strobel Lee Strobel was an athiest who went out to prove that God didn't exist but he ended up becoming a believer in God because of the discoveries that he found. He ended up writing these books, they are compiled of all the discoveries he made along his quest to see if God is real. Everyone should read them, they're great!

I can't say there is anyway to prove God exists. Personally I don't believe god is a man with a white beard judging us 24/7. I think there is certainly a higher being (or you can say higher energy since we are all made up of energy). As for their being evidence of a god... yup there is none. The whole idea of a god derives from our utmost desire to know how we came to be.

None...I can't say for sure he DO...can't say for sure he DON'T. I'm ok with that.

As a non-believer, there is absolutely no onus on me to prove anything. The burden of proof (as always) is on the claimant. In this case, those who claim that there is a god. As I do not have any credible evidence for a creator (or the necessity thereof), I will go on disbelieving until such time as sufficient proof arises.

There is no way to know. The only logically consistent ideologies are agnosticism and existentialism. There are flaws in religion and atheism that simply cannot be solved. 'Evidence' and 'proof' don't matter. There are those who call themselves atheists who believe that God is actually dead, however. Which, while probably BS, is very interesting to consider. The logic is that, Jesus was God. Since there is but one God, Jesus was all God. Also, if he knew he would be resurrected, his 'sacrifice' isn't a sacrifice at all. If his sacrifice is to mean anything, he must have been literally sacrificed with no resurrection. A reversed sacrifice accomplishes nothing. So... there's a chunk of people that think that God existed, created the universe, and then killed himself as a gift to us. Yeah, like I said, sort of BS, but still crazy to think about.

no matter what arguments are thrown around, the human mind won't be able to arrive at an absolute conclusion. there is a point when faith is required. on both ends, it takes a level of faith, whether you believe in God or don't, you have to have faith in what you believe rather than facts. i personally think it takes way more faith to be an atheist than a Christian, but who's to say.

The only absolute truth is that you are conscious. If you created your own consciousness, you are God...if something else created it, that is God. Either way, there is a God.

Proof. None. Strong Evidence. A lot. Science loves to explain a lot of things, but it fails to explain how all we observe in nature is nature going order goes to disorder, yet they try to say it did the opposite at the beginning. They fail to obey their own theory which is proved over and over, And due to time, that's the only example I can give right now.

Agnosticism - Is the view that the truth value of certain claims—especially claims about the existence of any deity, but also other religious and metaphysical claims—is unknown or unknowable. It is the position of believing that knowledge of the existence or non-existence of God is impossible. It is often put forth as a middle ground between theism and atheism. Understood this way, agnosticism is skepticism regarding all things theological. The agnostic holds that human knowledge is limited to the natural world, that the mind is incapable of knowledge of the supernatural.

There's a lot that is proven on the *existence* of God, but only scripture says that He is loving, etc. Different religions say different things about God, but the least that we know for sure is that He is real.

Most certainly. But the proof of that which is very objective (available to all), lies in the realm of the subjective (the personal experience). It's the change in one's own heart in response to an on-going and active relationship with God that provides the proof. And how can one package that up for another, or place in a test-tube for science to examine? It's like someone asking you to prove you love your partner or your children. How does one show that in an objective way for another to judge, evaluate, or scrutinize? All another would see are the outward manifestations (or absence thereof) of something that exists deep in the heart and soul. All we know is that we know it when we experience it. Which is how relationship . . . works!

The big bang happened. God was behind that happening. Everything that has happened to form all things ARE. God is behind that. I don't see God as a sky-God that is a big spook in the sky taking notes to punish you later. I see God as that Great and Mighty FORCE of the whole universe. That Great and Mighty Force is what it is and doesn't need you to believe in it. God does not need to hear your prayers. You pray so that YOU will hear your prayers and your brain will try to bring to you that which you desire. God might be spelled with two "O"s ---- Good. What evidence do we have that Good exists?

This is such a big subject. I'll try my best to explain my views well but its really hard to go into depth when just typing summaries like this. The first proof would be the design I see. This world is so incredibly complex. You see the sun in just the right spot to keep us alive, the way we breathe oxygen and give the trees carbon dioxide, the way we are created so we need water to survive and it falls from the sky and theres an amazing cycle of evaporation etc. The way our bodies get tired so we need to sleep and then the sun sets to give us darkness to make this easier for us. I could go on and on. When I look at this world and the way it operates, I see design. Look at the infrastructure and technology in this world. You would never believe that these things built themselves. The fact they are there is evidence of a designer and a builder. You may not see the builders but it doesnt mean they dont exist. The next proof would be on a moral grounding. Obviously good and evil exist. And all people on earth try to do good things as much as they can. Now look at animals. You would never say that an animal eating another animal is immoral. Or you wouldnt say its evil because their just animals and they only know survival. If God does not exist then we are merely animals too. That would mean that we dont have morals either. Yet you see that all humans live by a moral code, whether its set by a higher authority or whether they create their own, they still do what they believe to be right or good. This is the proof that we are not merely animals and another proof that God exists. The next proof would be personal life experiences. I would rather not go into details on this here as it is a very public setting but feel free to ask me personally abou it whenever. Suffice to say Ive had many proofs in this area. The next proof is more specifically at which God is the true version of God. I believe in the islamic concept of God. The islamic concept of God appeals to me because it is so logical. The other reason i follow islam is because of the great proof which is the Qur'an. If God wrote a book you would expect it to be the most amazing book ever written and surpass all human capabilities. This is exactly what you find with the Qur'an. Just very briefly this is because of the linguistic miracles, the way its written, the style its written in (eg. the whole book has a beautiful rhyme and rhythm to it) and because of the content (eg. meaningful, strong, includes amazing scientific miracles too). All of these points are very strong but presented here in this form are much weaker. Its hard to give a reasonable explanation is such a summarised form. But theres a quick explanation. I cant really go into much more detail wihtout resorting to writing an entire book. :P
