Well, I read(y?) below and now I'm going to do some online research of my own. Very interesting! Thanks to @CragAntler for your insight. Like Cosmic syrup, I also see 9:11. The number 11 has become really thematic for me this year, so regardless of what it means, it's worth a look.

I experience this, too, but it's with 9:11. Clocks, license plates, store receipts, mileage on my car, etc.

I've been seeing 11:11 or 1:11 at least 10 or more times a week on clocks going on five years now. Its become a part of my life and I've accepted it. Some of my friends believe me (cause they've been with me while I'm having these moments) and others completely don't and that doesn't bother me. One example would be two weeks ago me and my brother were walking down a trail by my cabin hunting grouse and I struggled to get my phone out of my pocket for no apparent reason. We had no where to be and we had all day to hunt and at that moment what time it was meant nothing, but still I struggled to retrieve it. My brother looked over and waited to see what I was doing and when I finally got my phone out it was 1:11 and I showed him the time and he knows about my story so he just said "yeah your blessed or have somebody looking down on you or something." Personally I believe its an internal clock thing. My mind or body just knows when that time is showing somewhere so it makes me see it. Not sure how it forces me but it without a doubt does force me to see it. I don't think there's a huge meaning behind it though. Im not religious so I don't think its somebody looking down on me showing me a sign and I highly doubt Im being contacted by angels as I've read on different web sites. Still it's weird that a lot of people deal with this and I was amazed at how many sites discuss this, and I'll add soulpancake to that list. I have other cool/interesting moments dealing with this but this post is already long enough.

But it's all in my head, lol, becuase of movies I've seen:) And 11:11, I just think it looks wierd, nothing else.

I once dreamt a 5 digit number but not the sort of number I could play the lotto with. So I decided it was a zip code--but I didn't want to go to Ohio. Missed my chance...

Yes, I have experienced this as well, not just clocks, but other things involving numbers as well, recently, I was making checks out at work in succession, one after another, and looked up finally and the last one was for $1,111.00. Just random oddness of seeing it in places. Not looking for it but it just being there. Crazy. Who knows?

i think you attract what you want to attract. You see what you want to see with everything in life. Also with love. You have to be love in order to attract love.

Touch something red and make a wish. I don't know why, but my siblings and I have been doing this forever. I'm not sure why we started. Maybe because it's just a reminder to take some time out of your day to really think about what you want, and maybe don't have right then. I usually wish for something I could actually get for myself, like a healthier relationship with someone or more sleep...but it's just a reminder to actually DO something about it, make it happen.

its stupid! it has no backing, like y 11:11?? y not another time? whats so significant about it? and to consistantly make a wish at the same time everyday but do nothing to work towards that wish is insane to me.

A pity you couldn't share an absurd theory or two with us. Too much work, I guess, huh?

Everyone (well, most everyone) I know likes to make wishes on 11:11 or 12:34. I even make wishes at 9:20 (which is my birthday in numericals). I always took it as an opportunity to think about something I'd like to happen in the near future, like an interesting guest on Conan O'Brien or having a good day/night. I've never heard about any of these phenomenon before this post. I think it's a little far fetched though. There are probably plenty of times when you look up at the clock, see the time is 3:28 or something and don't think anything of it. The numbers 11:11 maybe just look a little more.. special (?), so you'll notice more often when the clock says that time.
