My Chemical Romance- for when I do the whole art thing. The Beatles or Queen- for falling asleep The Fray, or Jack Johnson- for reading But it's not really tasks that I listen to music for. My music usually just goes with my mood.

I'm weird...(as most of you know!) I really like the TV on when I paint or create. Music to me, is for the car or dancing.

for cleaning house: The Best of Queen (try not to be in an enclosed area during the headbanging parts of "Bohemian Rhapsody") Scientists say that Mozart is the best for studying. If you're of a certain age, I wonder how many of our children were conceived to "Knights in White Satin" or "Bolero"?

I'm glad to see that there are a few Sigur Rós fans on SoulPancake. Their music enhances my ability to do just about any task. For walks on fall days, I prefer Vashti Bunyan (okay, not a band, but...). Sufjan Stevens when I need to smile.

Broken Social Scene was my driving force in college. I would listen to write papers, to gain inspiration, when I was on photoshoots. They really got me through! Cat Power always helps me sleep, and Regina Spektor takes me out of a sour mood!

Depends on my mood. But i do have a pretty eclectic taste in music. I am one of those music addicts who has to be listening to music at every minute of every day, no matter what i'm doing. including sleep. When i sleep i like to put on some classic Jazz to sooth me, if i put anything else, i'll want to sing along and then i'll never get sleep. Plus it gives my dreams some pretty cool soundtrack haha. When i drive i like loud guitars and vocals. but for the most part of the day i listen to whatever im in the mood for. When i pain i like to listen to music that may be sound like what i'm feeling with the painting. Some of my favorite artists/bands are Esthero, The Cardigans, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Wynton Marsalis, Sia, Zero 7, Portishead, Common, Cold War Kids, Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Nina Simone..etc. etc. etc.

Sigur Ros to simply relax. Patrick Watson to escape. K'Naan for inspiration. Bob Dylan for inspiration as well. Classical while doing homework. Bob Marley to unwind. Simon and Garfunkel to feel happy :) And much more. A mix of everything while I'm cleaning/doing other things I don't like doing.

Listening to Sonic Youth drives me to experiment with the guitar. Listening to the Doors makes me want to go on long walks alone. The Beatles keep me in a very tranquil state while doing homework.
