I would want to know as long as it was general stuff and did not take too much time out of my day. If it was bad I could brace myself and if it was good I would find comfort in that. I like knowing things and if it was out there and possible to find out, I so would. I always get mad when my friends choose not to find out the sex of their babies, saying they want to be surprised. It baffles me how it is possible to be surprised when the choices are only boy and girl. It's not like there is some possibility of a giraffe or something. Crazy. I like to know and prepare and would welcome the chance to see how my choices play out for my future.

My Grandma used to look into a person's face and tell them thier future. Now that Grandma has gone to that Abha Kingdom, my Mom likes to go to a psychic once a month. I take her and we both get readings. My reaction is that I try to make things turn out differently from what the psychic tells me is in my future. Somehow though, the predictions always come true, no matter how I tried to veer off the course. You would think that I would believe in this psychic, yet I don't. And I don't care to know my future.

I feel that there are two possible ways this could go: 1.) Presuming that free will DOES NOT exist then no. I would not like to know my future because then I would be nothing more than a meat sack with no meaning because I could already tell you everything that my life would mean. (But in that case, would that change the future? The world may never know until something like Flash Forward happened). 2.) Presuming that free will DOES exist, then yes. I would like to know the future then I can check to see where I will end up and change the present to change the future which is the case in the TV show Flash Forward (The FBI agent committing suicide does not match up with the visions therefore free will exists). This is also the case in reality as well since I can create my future. If I want to be a filmmaker I can take the necessary steps to that goal. Or If I want to be a soccer player I would have to make those steps to that goal, quite literally in that case. The thing is this: Take your life by the horns and ride it to where you want to go.

Skipping ahead to the end of the book robs one of the enjoyment of reading it -- the only reason to pick a book up in the first place. Hopefully I am living my life to the fullest for today -- not in slavery to the past, and not in fear of the future. This is Truth. (Capitalization is very intentional) Visions of the future can be very good to awaken the sleepers. I crave a life where my eyes are wide open; so I wonder if a 6-month look ahead would blindside me in any significant way?
