Is it possible to try to not relate to your persona, or is that just another version of your personality. I keep trying to not allow anything to define me? It seems there would be a lot less conflict if this was done more often?

each soul comes to this earth with some certain karma structure and karma can be changed in one moment anytime, with a single thought. so, your personality was always a construct of your own choices.

I think all of us can can be any of these types and more, and multiples of them at the same time. Moreover, I think we can do this and still retain our individual uniqueness.

As I often say, if it fits on a bumper sticker you can assume there is more to it.

Unless you work in Human Resources somewhere, there's really little need to go completely by an assigned number, group of letters, or a zodiac sign to categorize personalities. I've always thought that there is a huge range of facets to anybody who has a personality at all, with some more prominent than others. People's personalities do seem to change. I'm not sure if their motives or goals do.

No idea. But i think people are a lot more complex than a label. I've taken the same quizes again a couple years later and gotten totally different answers. People grow and change. Is it nature? is it nurture? ... Yes. It is. Like your looks- do you look the way you do because of genetics (skin pigmentation, eye shape and color, bone structure, voice, etc), or your own choices/environment (diet, clothing, culture, activities, scars, posture, makeup.. surgery)? Both affect it.

It just is.. I don't do all those tests. I just am. Those test are only good for the moment that you answer them. You choose to recognize the traits they suggest, but truly they don't define you.

Nature + Nurture. I think we are all born with a temperament, it's like DNA. Some babies cry more than others. Some don't need much attention. If personality is only about 'nurturing', all siblings should have the same personality right? But they don't.

You do have control over your personality. You can change if you fully intend to. I was raised bitter and cussing. As an adult every sentence had an F-word in it and my attitude stank. I took to drinking, which made matters worse. I was a stripper in bars and topless cocktail waitress. I would say that all I had to do is add drugs and I'd be the worst of the worst. But, I said no to drugs. Then I lost the bar jobs and went to work in a factory. Of all the factories in the world, I get a job at a place where the owners and 99% of the people who worked there were of the Baha'i Faith. These people were like Mr Rodger's Neighborhood and all goody-goody. I made fun of them. Then my personal life hit an all time low. I hit bottom. My boss took me into his office for a talk that I thought was going to end in me being fired. I had that moment where I begged God, please don't let him fire me. I promised to change. He didn't fire me, but he told me about the Baha'i Faith. I decided to stop cussing and drinking. I decided to CHANGE right now. When I walked out of the boss' office I had already began to act like a decent person. It made my co-workers say it was like the movie The Body Snatchers. They said I was a pod-person. I made the effort and thought about my every word and the way I lived my life. I intended to be decent in every way. It has been 29 years and I have never slipped up. My life became happy and I have never looked back. The secret is to DO IT. Don't try. Trying is not doing.
