the energy you put into leaving something better than you found it is equal to how many scenes you will happen upon that are better than you expected. we are mirrors reflecting back what is given.

My parents have always told me that, "The hole through which I give is the hole through which I will receive." Ultimately meaning that I will get out of life what ever it is I am willing to put into it. And not just life but anything; friendships, work, recreation... what ever it is. I think this is the concept that the Beatles were trying to convey. It seems like there are a lot of people who go through life with everything they could ever want just handed to them, and that there are others who have to work to get anything. So we have to ask ourselves...are those people truly happy? Do they wake up each morning feeling satisfied? I have a feeling that the answer is quite possibly no.

It's the beautiful idea that all the love you give will be reciprocated back to you eventually. Sadly, this beautiful idea is not true. You can give love to someone, pour your heart into them, and not get loved in return. You can spend your life loving everyone and not get loved in the same way. In the same way, you can be heartless and love no one but be loved be someone. I think it's a wonderful thought and can be comforting to hope for, but in the end, the love you take has not much to do with the love you make.

It reminds people to be courageous; meaning it takes courage to love and it takes courage to accept love

Does anyone really know what the Beatles ever talked about? Case in point: Yellow Submarine.

To me it means... In the end, love is all that matters.... In our lifetime, in this world, all the material possessions, all the money, egos and all the shallow sh*t we've been raised to value... It's all bullshit. All that matter in the end is the relationships, the love, the interactions that we have with each other. "The love you take, is equal to the love you make" -- When you let your love flow, love will flow back into you.
