Constantine the roman emperor that invented the Catholic/Christian mythology, more people have been killed because of this than any other religion/mythology.

@Chiron I don't really agree with you when you say that, if Christians just would not have increased to such a great number, there would not have been so much killing in Jesus' name. I look at it in the sense that there was just a very tragic shift in mindset of the church back in the days of Constantine. When Christianity became a set of laws and rules instead of a radical movement of love and healing, it lost a huge part of the very essence of what Jesus meant it to be. Jesus showed love to the most condemned peoples in society, and the most contempt for the religious zealots. Yet, somehow, the church has in many ways become religious zealots who condemn those people whom Jesus showed love to. It's not that I think that all Christians really are just self-righteous bigots who think they are better than everybody else. I think there's still just too much Constantine in the worldview of many Christians (not all). If the church would have gone on being the way it was the first few centuries after Christ, in my opinion, there would be two general categories of people in the world today: One would be followers of Christ, and the second would say, "I disagree with their beliefs, but I'm still awfully glad they're here!" The church is to bring love and healing wherever it goes, not condemnation. That's what I think Jesus had in mind when He said, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

An interesting question. For me I have to ask, if we had to remove ANYONE, what would the different direction of the world be today. Being Jewish my first thought always tends to be Hitler, but I know that removing him would not have removed the problems he exposed, but would the subsiquent changes in the world still have happened?

everyone had a purpose within this lifetime. or if not in their lifetime it caused another persons life to change although hitler had a horrific affect on the world what he did made the rest of us think. he made us think of issues like equality, rightful punishment, human rights, our affect on this world and how we view other people. hitlers own story is quite sad too, aside from being who he was in later years, he was pushed out of art school. ! thats right he was an artist, his professors didnt think that he had the right kind of work i guess . maybe that was where the anger all started. NO excuse hitler. but he caused changes, not right then and there, but we see them now.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say no one. To delete one person from human history would have unforeseen and possibly terrible consequences to our history. Hitler was an evil man, no question about it, but if he never existed then the world may not have recovered from the Great Depression. World War II was what brought us out of that period of despair and it was instigated by Hitler. So, yeah, I would leave history as it was and focus instead on making the present and future better in small ways.

This may sound like a strange answer, but I would go with Constantine, who was the first ruler to enforce Christianity from the government level. Up until that point, the church was a radical movement that brought love, peace, and people transformation everywhere it went. Then, when Christians moved from the marginalized without much power to the center of the culture with a lot of power, everything went downhill and still hasn't stopped. Please understand my perspective, as I am a Christian and believe the world would be in a much better place if the church had gone on the way it was before it became powerful in such wrongs ways. Undoubtedly, a lot of you will disagree with this. Which is fine!

Yeah I think that if we removed hitler and consequently isreal wasn't given by a few european countries-which it had no right to give in the first place- then the world would probably be a better place, so much more peace in the middle east, the jews christians and muslims who lived there in the first place would all be much better off.......but then again I believe there's a reason for everything...

For me this would probably have to be either Andrew Jackson or General Custard. They were responsible for the genocide of Native Americans and are still revered in this country as historical figures. I mean we even have to look at Jackson on our money everytime we pull it out of our wallets. That's just rubbing our faces in the fact that he was a monster and nobody gave a damn, because it was "just" some Natives that went through the pain.

People say Hitler. Really the intelligent response would be Stalin, as he killed 5 times as many people and really his degressive actions you could claim .. started the Cold War and that, as we know, claimed many more lives through movements such as the Afghanistan War.

i dont think i would. i have no idea what the ramifications of such an action would be. could make the world 10x worse. i would rather see the world we have become more unified. maybe we could copy some people, to do good. then dress them in white outfits that look kinda of duckish. then we can use them against the empire, all the while they are really working for the chancellor. what will the jedi do? i dont know. I guess that really the world is pretty great right now. stuff sucks. people starve, and die, but i dont know what other worlds are like. some are better some aren't. We just need to work to make this one better than it is today.
