Can't say that I have. But I have experienced a quiet so deep that my heartbeat and my digestion were quite loud, relatively.

Maybe when I have to take my dog out in the middle of the night because she has diarrhea. She`s tiny and when she scurries out into the yard it is like she is on tiptoe anyway. I sit there in a wicker chair and just love the quiet. But maybe it is only quiet and not absolute silence. I was just wondering if anybody else thought this drawing intensely phallic? LOL

Not absolute silence, but pretty close -- my husband and I watched the sun set on a ridge overlooking Crater Lake in Oregon once, a few years ago. When the wind would subside, it was very, very quiet there.

There's a girl from my school who is nearly 100% deaf, and when she wants to read or work really seriously during a class, she turns her hearing aids off and she says she can't hear ANYTHING. I would absolutely die for that power!

When I have a syncopal episode (fainting) I hear absolutely nothing for the couple of minutes that I am unconscious. I would say I have truly experienced absolute silence.
