I would say West Coast. I've been to 48 states (i haven't been to hawaii and wisconsin). One thing i've learned is people on the East coast are more close minded (for the most part.) People on the west coast are so much nicer, and it is more beautiful over on the west coast to. East is cramped, while West is more spread out.

The West Coast is beautiful, but I love the history and Colonial architecture of the East Coast. There is an electric energy on the East Coast..

I live in Kansas City, Missouri, and it's just fine. Your photo up there looks like the tour schedule of most bands, though. "Midwest? What Midwest?"

Come out west for a visit! I've lived here in Washington state most of my life. I like it, but maybe I just don't know any better! :)

Depends, you can be at peace in hell if you're that evolved. Trixie kinda summed it up. As for people, East is more go-go, egocentric, self-interested, me-first, money, materialistic, West is laid back, live let live.

I've lived in California all of my life. I love everything about it.. the beauty of the Sierras, Lake Tahoe, Mount Shasta, Shasta Lake, The Trinity Alps, Napa Valley, Yosemite, San Francisco, Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Diego, Malibu and all of the other incredible beaches up and down the state. I love the seasons and the fresh produce grown all over the state, the farmer's markets on week-ends, the wineries throughout the state, the gold rush history and the incredible little towns that still exist, the fast pace, the slow pace; so many things to do and see, and sports activities abound. But, I LOVE New York City and everything about it.. the restaurants, NYC Ballet, Broadway, all of the districts, MOMA, Grand Central Station, the clubs - the whole vibe and energy. I could definitely live there - it feels very familiar to me. I also love the incredible beauty of Cooperstown and the surrounding area. And then there is beautiful Colorado. I just might move there one day, too. I think I'd be happy just about anywhere.....

East coast, west coast, it doesn't matter. What is important is that we culturally marginalize people in the middle who aren't close to large volumes of salt water. My family is from the west coast. I live on the east coast. I grew up in the midwest. I think that the coasts need to get over themselves. People make the kingdom, the palace doesn't make the people.

They each have their own distinct charms; I love them both immensely for very different reasons. But personally going to have to go with the central corridor. *belts out a hammy yet stirring rendition of 'Old Man River'*

You may need to travel your own country to get a better perspective. The sun may rise on one coast and set on the other, but it's what happens in between that makes the day. (So try spending some time on the prairies!)

Spent the first half of my life on the west coast. Second half on the east coast. And last year in the middle. My preference is midwest. Generous, socially conscience, friendly people. I think it's best wherever you find your group of people, where you feel at home.

born on West Coast, now live on East Coast.. still can't choose. Love both. But, probably East Coast... more genuine, and the best thing about it is the Mass Transportation! Without a car you can get up and down that East Coast without a sweat. West Coast...good luck trying to get to work without a car.

Brian Wilson said it best: Well east coast girls are hip I really dig those styles they wear And the southern girls with the way they talk They knock me out when Im down there The mid-west farmers daughters really make you feel alright And the northern girls with the way they kiss They keep their boyfriends warm at night I wish they all could be california girls
