Sometimes I just say the first thing that pops into my head. It usually sounds stupid, but it's usually what I think. But I actually enjoy just reading some of the deeper questions on here and then thinking about them during all my boring classes at school. But you have to understand, some people just naturally sound intelligent and might just be writing how they normally write and therefore making it sound really smart and over-thought (I'm definitely not one of those people).

Are people over-questioning the thinking? :) Sometimes I have to admit that I read some answers and go HUH?

I love overthinkinig, which is why I enjoy this site. It's a bastion of deep thought in a society which always seems to try and appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Maybe you're just not used to this site yet. Quotients run pretty high around here, and most of the responses are off the cuff.

They say we only use 10% anyhow. I have never blown a brain fuse. Lets experiment and deliberately try to overthink and see what happens.

What in the hell is "over-thinking?" How about we just think how ever much we want to think, and express as much or little of that as we want to, and call it good?

Uh, I like to think and take my brain out for a jog. Why is this a bad thing? Isn't that what the site is about? I mean, I can be a smart a*s with the best of them, but thinking can be fun too.

"I know it's important to sound intelligent and all" Do you really think we're all here just trying to impress each other? Or am I mis-reading your implication? Honestly, I think you're serioulsly over-generalizing here. What things are geting "over-thought"? If you think some people here and there are overthinking certain topics then why don't you point that out within the topic itself? And what does it mean to over-think? Personally, I think it's too relative to nail down and use as an accurate gauge in any discussion. I think it's healthy to think through issues instead of taking things for granted. I just really don't think it's fair to say that in general people here are over-thinking, especially for the sake of just trying to sound intelligent. But then, maybe I'm just over-thinking things. :-)
