You haven't yet?

You're old enough to do certain things now. What haven't you done yet? So, what are you waiting for? List 3 common things YOU have never done before. And tell yourself that you will do them by your next birthday (ahem, try to). You can only be so young for so long, you know. . . After that, tell the world something uncommon/unusual you HAVE done! They may try it some day (stay out of trouble, kids). I'm 16 years old and I have: 1. never been on a see-saw 2. never been to a swimming pool 3. never been to BurgerKing But I have: ordered food from a drive-thru without a vehicle.

I'm not really 'of age' yet, seeing as how I'm only 17, but there are a few things I would love to do once I turn 18! 1. Get a tattoo. Of course the parents are fighting, which is why I need to wait. And also, I have no ideas as to what or where, really. 2. Go on a legitimate road trip. 3. Get in the mosh pit at a concert. I have... 1. Laughed until I cried. It was an awesome adventure! Everyone should do it sometime (:

Adventure is the stuff of life. Without it, life isn't worth living. The trick, my young friend, is to make sure you survive your adventures to extract the meaty wisdom from even the wackiest times. Even in the dubious art of wasting time there is great wisdom to be gained. And perhaps part of this comes down to imagination. Can one imagine an adventure in a Saturday afternoon drive in the country -- or a walk to school? That takes some good imagination. And perhaps strapping rockets to your bike and your a*s doesn't require that much? Find your uncommon and unusual. But develop your inner resources so that even a trip to the corner store for milk can be a mini-adventure. When one can do this, all life becomes an adventure! Those who can find the uncommon and unusual wherever they are, don't need to take such extreme risks that they might shut the door on any further adventures.
