It can't prove it, but those who can't see God through His creation (aka science) are very near blind.

Nothing can prove that He does exist. And it also can't be proven that He doesn't.

Science can prove anything if there is evidence/data to support it and it is sound with all other things.

God not being created cannot be found by our intelligence. Some believe that the part of us that finds him is the soul which is actually part of Him or " It " if you prefer , seeking Itself , the Uncreated . You are right it is totally irrational/unreasonable but , it is of it's nature, which is super-natural. It has to seek itself out and It can only percieve or be percieved by itself. Human nature alone does not have the capacity.God is a mystery worthy of our attention and I don't mean the monster created by some christian folks here. I mean the one that so many great minds have explored over thousands of years. The search for religious truth so beats the abandonment of it in many peoples opinion. If someone decides not to believe I think that is entirely up to them . I respect their decision completely. I don't see why so many though who do decide there is no God then spend good energy getting antagonistic about others who uphold the idea that there may indeed be one. Surely its a personal decision and choice ? The search for God is a very big part of our history as a species and an increasing number of intelligent human beings continue that quest, believing that we are evolving spiritually as well as in every other way. We all share a weariness of bible bashing ...that sort of stuff is noddy level faith, believe me.

Science studies the natural world- what we can sense and how it works. God, by definition is a supernatural being- One who is "above" (to define the Latin) nature. With science we can only study what has happened in our natural habitat. Science itself could never prove anything, it is sort of a natural history- answering the questions "what has happened" and "what are some possible suggestions as to how it happened," much like the field of history. Since God is defined as existing in the abstract or supernature, science cannot look into God's residency to see if God is home or not. Until we learn to completely use the tools with the capablity to measure the supernatural (our own mind/soul/imagination), we could never attempt to start this debate with facts, figures, evidence, data, all of the input that science requires.

God is, by the definition most religious people have given it, unprovable. You cannot prove god does not exist, and you cannot prove god does exist.

If science can prove the munjiest enfeeblement of a krakensaw, then it is certainly up to the task of proving god.

science doesn't really prove anything... science gives evidence to support theories - and the value of the theories correspond to how well they explain the world and can make predictions about it... can you imagine what sort of experiment could possibly provide evidence of the existence of God - experiment being defined as scientists define it - repeatable, etc.... I can't. If you can, please describe it. Many call things like string theory non-scientific for similar reasons... I think people are barking up the wrong tree when they try to prove God's existence... cause it's not that sort of question.... and i think even many believers agree with that...
