Yes. But not in the way I thought as a kid back when greatness meant being a movie star or the president. I will probably never know the part I played, at least until I ship out of here. But that's cool with me. Happy to be a part of something amazing.

Ever since I was a little kid, I've felt that "put here for something great" thing. Haven't put my finger on what that thing is or is going to be, and as far back as I can remember, I've felt very much inadequate for greatness...but the thing remains. Was that too philosophical? Regardless, I hope the thing is writing meaningful things but I may have just summed up my inadequacy for that.

I don't think I was put here, and I don't think there is I have any special "purpose," outside of the purposes shared by all other living beings (to survive, to procreate, etc.) but I hope to do good things. I have expectations that I will.

I think living life is pretty great. I don't think my purpose here is any greater (or less) than anyone's purpose here.

I wasn't placed on Earth to do something great. Personally, I feel that is a very foolish and arrogant thing to say. I do wish to live a successful life, but I wouldn't dare act as though I'm better than anyone.

As arrogant as this may sound, yes, I have always felt that I was here for something great. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what that is that I'm supposed to do, but I'm sure that I'll figure it out. Anyone have any tips on figuring it out? I could use some help on finding my purpose.

"In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love." -Mother Teresa I immediately think of this quote (as well as that Switchfoot song "Meant to Live"). They're both hold such validity though. I think we intuitively feel desined or at least aim for success and in turn to do great things, selfless or very selfish in some circumstances. But it's the little things that we do, whose motives come from the heart, with love, that are truly great, regardless of how grand.

Everyone, at some stage or other has touched or changed another's life in some profound way.... Everyone... Whether it be having someone fall in love with you, learn from u, admire u, appreciate u... All these qualities sustain us and makes us humble humans again... I believe that being put here, most intellegent advanced beings on earth, the trick to greatness is not meant to be found in what we invent, achieve or challenge... The greatness is within the humiity and humanity we inherntly posses... So any being who brings out raw humanity in a person is great, in the puest possible form... Thats just what I believe :)
