Why are we all so obsessed with what everyone's definition of love is? Every second question is about love!!

"I think that love is simply everywhere. The only catch is, you need to find someone to help you see it. When you find that person, you will feel.. I'm not sure... like you're whole. Like everything that has ever happened bad will disappear, your life will be one with that person's life. Everywhere you go you will see joy and hope because your eyes have been opened to it through that special person." -Brandon Gates.

I don't have one but I see it in all sorts of places...I know what it's not. I sense that.I know when I am not being loving and I take that seriously but I honestly at this point can't define it except maybe that I love it and it always has a beneficial set of outcomes that heal and join and empower...

when I want someone else's happiness more than my own. but smiling at the TV while watching a DVD of my favourite band, or staying up the whole night just to finish a painting... for me, that's love too, but in a different way.

I think the definition of love is personal, as everyone loves differently and it's a feeling only YOU know how it affects you. For me, love is heart aching, it is deep, it is passionate, it's giving all that I have. I agree with breathing_space17, "that person becomes a part of you for better or worse". When two people truly love one another they will always have that connection. It's weird how love brings both happiness and pain.

Love is what people want to define. They want an answer and they want to say that's not love to me etc. In my opinion, love could just be something made up. Something, like religion, that humans believe in because they need something to believe in.

Love is that uncontrolable and passionate feeling you get with another person. You feel a connection thats incredibly deep and that person becomes a part of you for better or worse. No personal experience here but its what i think it is

A person/animal/etc. who accepts you as a whole and your flaws, makes you wanna be a better person without making you feel crummy and makes you happy no matter what.
