By loving special people in the exact way they need to be loved by me, which is very different depending on the person and circumstance. This understanding comes through being with them (however you want to interpret that opaque statement is probably accurate), being wholly receptive to them and their needs, and being receptive to love itself (yes, @zamfir , that's an extra schmear of who-ha icing on this cake, just for you!).
