They Really Get Me... They Really Understand Me!

I have the feeling that people don't get me and don't understand me, do you have that same feeling? If someone really understood me then they would know that I really am trying to do what's right and what's best. I don't always succeed but I'm really trying...

Why should you care if people ever get you? I used to care about what people thought of me until I got a divorce. I know me and know my intention and such and that is all I care about today. People will see what they want to see, and we all have different filters. I can not help they may not "get" me nor do I want to spend my energies or time trying to get to see who I really am....

" You know the times you impress me the most are the times when you don't try, when you don't even try." That is a very good line from a Joni Mitchell song. There's a lot of wisdom in it. Don't try so hard. Just be yourself. Simply wonderful as you are.People who try too hard can be very annoying.

It's the human condition. There's only one you, so there's only one person who is ever going to know exactly what you mean or what you're trying to do and that's you. I wrestled with this for years until finnally I had that realization. So, good luck.

Some do, and some don't. Usually the ones who are willing to look outside themselves for a moment do; and those who can't get beyond themselves don't. While the approval of people is nice, I personally don't think it's as important as approval from a Higher Source. He both understands and knows how hard we're trying -- and given us a way to avoid being crushed by our failures as we learn and grow.

Everyone feels that way at some point, I was lucky to find a couple of friends who really understand me and love me, and don't worry, there's always someone out there who's going to be the person who truly gets you, so keep looking.. No one is really alone in this

i think everybody feels that way, my friend. it's what is differs you from the others that makes you yourself. that's why it's called "the others". you're individual, nobody can ever understand you fully. but some people can come close to that, and those are the ones that i really appreciate. that doesn't mean you should feel lonely, it means you're special. a beautiful picture of the bahai gardens by the way. is this your son? all the best phil
