a lot of people are saying chicago. go just a bit north. for me it is milwaukee. spend a day people watching at the lakefront. its a wonderful place with a huge amount of pride for the city and the residents. austin to me is the second best. worst. alabamba. yes i am aware it is not a city. however to me the whole state qualifies.

My favorite city is the one I live in: Victoria, BC. Everything is just right...I call it The Goldilocks Standard. My least favorite city is Las Vegas, probably because I've spent too many days there when I have gone. I probably should go to more places. On my list: New York, Chicago, San Antonio, Austin, Nashville, Paris and Nassau.

my favorite city is the island in northeast florida called Fernandina beach. its got a sense of belonging. people seem to know everyone and yet still have their own lives. the culture is thick there as well. my least favorite city is probably jacksonville, fl. its where i have lived for sometime now and it is a rather boring city. no real sense of life and culture. its too big to feel like you belong but too small to create the buzz of a major city.

Chicago is by far the best city in the world. Over the past 10-15 years, Mayor Richard Daley has done an amazing job with cleaning up almost the every area and is ongoing in his efforts to make the city green. When Millennium Park opened in 2003, it became the crowning jewel of the city, trumping even stalwart monuments like the Sears Tower, Buckingham Fountain, and the Hancock Building. As for culture, Chicago is beyond compare, with the Art Institute, the MCA, countless museums, music venues. Don't even get me started on the theatre options that can be found there. What's great about its theatre community, as opposed to NY's or LA's, is the discipline and quality of work. In other cities, theatre makers and performers are doing their craft with the goal to 'get ahead' or advance their career. Chicago theatre makers largely have day jobs and their souls are completely devoted to creating the best theatrical experiences. Without pretense with a lot of heart, Chicago is my favorite city (even though the winters suck). Least favorite city? Atlanta. Bunch of tranny prostitutes, hustlers, and rapists. (Not trying to hit below the belt. I have first hand accounts on all three.)

I absolutely loved Chicago for the limited amount of time I was there, and I didn't even get to see the good parts. I only got to see Evanston and Belmont Ave. Had I even known about the Baha'is at the time, I would have made a trip up to Wilmette to see the HoW. I live in Columbus, OH...so I pretty much love any city with a decent public transit system. The only city I can really say that I don't like is Galveston, TX. I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise out of Galveston. When we pulled back into port, I was overwhelmed by the odor of the refineries. It was a dreary ending to a wonderful time. I've only been to two other cities in Texas(Houston and Amarillo), but I like neither of them. I think it's just the Texan attitude. I lived in El Paso for 7 years, but it really isn't "Texas." I think I might be okay with Austin, but I don't know.

I love New York. I moved here from Manila, Philippines when I was five years old and I've loved it ever since. I may get a little angry at things like the MTA from time to time, but the fact of the matter is, this city brings diversity, arts, entertainment, fashion, and sports all together for me. I love being able to do so many different things. I love the different museums, the subway system, even the scary cab drivers. I love being able to walk from place to place and seeing all the pretty lights at night as well as the different landmarks. It's great. My least? I don't know, Cranston, RI. I go to school up in Providence, and driving through Cranston can be a nightmare sometimes. I'm not sure the people in Cranston like Cranston. I could be wrong though.

My favorite city would have to be the big apple, New york city (especially Manhattan) should be its own country with the diversity of people and the difference in culture compared to the rest of the US. Its easy to navigate, maybe not easy to drive through. I dont think I've been to a city that i havent liked, so for my least favorite city I'd hafta say my hometown of Indianapolis simply because i am getting very annoyed with all the construction downtown to get ready for the superbowl in 2012. Took me an hour to get to work this morning
