What chore do you take pleasure in?

Doing small things with great love--said St. Theresa. One thing from the saints I actually 'get'! I love to fold laundry. It brings me order and peace. I really don't like chores at all but give me a basket of fresh, clean laundry and I'll go to town. No matter what, I know I can fold those items and put them where they belong. Sigh..bliss.

@kdmask I find myself doing the same, or coloring coding the shirts on the racks.

I actually enjoy cleaning. I'm contemplating offering my cleaning services to my dirty roommates, for a fee of course. I like sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and dusting. I HATE cleaning the toilet, and doing the dishes. When it comes to dishes, the dishwasher is my best friend. But more than anything, I loooove doing laundry. A few year ago, I had a job in retail and I folded the same shirt probably thirty times a day. It introduced to my love of folding and putting away my clothes.

Running errands and getting the mail. Whenever I get the mail I hope that I can something exciting, even life-changing.

Something involving driving the car.

i love doing laundry. it makes me get in the mood to clean. I always find things that i havnt worn in a long time. i also love the way laundry smells.

I love to organize my room, and put all my shoes away. And I like laundry because I find things that I forgot about

Laundry... it gets me out of the house, and the laundry mat has Silent Scope... the best arcade game ever made... I actually had a craving to go do laundry to day... can anyone say cabin fever?

Grocery shopping

Ironing the bedsheets. And by 'ironing' I mean 'sleeping on'.

cleanig my room that usually consists of 1. shoving everything under my bed 2. ???? hmmmmm yeah thats it

Vacuuming

Hiring a housekeeper is the chore that gives me pleasure.

i"m with ya on the laundry...and i love to do the dishes and clean my kitchen- when it is in order, i feel in order. there is definately something meditative about performing chores. i guess it's the one-pointed focus, along with the rythm of the work...like you said..bliss!
