If you could change the movie industry how would you?

I love movies, but sometimes there seems to be a lot of crap out there. How would you change it?

I would put Tim Burton, Wes Anderson, and a few select others in charge of all the movie making.

I would perhaps reign in on the glorification of the darker sides of our human nature. Our entertainment is something we feel we "deserve" -- a reward for a job well done. Too often it would seem we feel our just reward is engrossing ourselves in crime, or horror, or vengeance. And then we wonder why there is so much crime, horror and vengeance in the real world! I understand a bit of it leads to the intrigue of a good story. But too often it seems that perhaps it's the entire theme, rather than just a vehicle within the plot to bolster the theme.

I wouldn't. It is demand driven. You pick what you want to see.

put more money into independent film talent and move away from the commercial monster of big production egos...

I love movies too but in alot of them I would change the actors they pick. It used to be that a person had to have talent to be in movies, but now it seems like anyone can be in movies ( Like Paris Hilton) I miss real actors

Get more diversity in female actors, people stick too often to the sexy archetype and it makes females play second fiddle frequently. Also, the pay ratio between actors and those behind the scenes. I feel like they get too high of a profit.
