Here's my big last question about them.... Hypothetically speaking... So stories say that vampires are damned to hell once they leave this earth. Twilight raises a good point that Carlisle and Edward are not totally convinced that you lose your soul when you become a vampire. They aren't sure what happens, actually... BUT Do you think it's fair to automatically be sentensed to hell when your life was unjustly taken from you or do you think you would still have a choice if you were "turned into a vampire"?

The whole peeing issue was something else I wondered about... according to the legends, they never have to go... And also, what good is stabbing a heart that isn't beating? I'm willing to accept that they may look humanish conisdering art has depicted things like angels and demons to have human qualities, but what about biological features? Do they just stop working?

@braxtonrob ....."But, if they looked like that, I'd be okay with it.".... Yeah, you might actually get a chance to cop a feel, right before you *bit* the big one! :-)

Vampires do not exist. At least, not as a species. They are stronger and harder to kill, and they prey on humans. If vampires existed as a species, then they would have domesticated us by now. Which leads to the conclusion that, if vampires exist, then they must be isolated incidents. It's not a contagion. Being bitten can't turn you into one, 'cause then we'd be overrun by the beasties. As for so-called "real vampires", sure. I mean, there are some crazies out there who like to drink blood. I mean, my old alma mater had a huge vampire craze this school year. It was STUPID.

They don't exist right now. Do. Not. Mmmkay? Especially the Edward Cullen variety (don't worry, my girlfriend is enamored with him just like everyone else, haha). Could they? If we're saying that they live a finite (but very long) life, suffice on blood, have superhuman strength and senses, have an aversion to light... all these things could feasibly be developed through extensive natural selection. Would they look anything like a human (or even be related to humans)? The probability is exceedingly low even if we grant 100% that they could exist.
