what I think is interesting is the huge majority of Introverts :) In my experience, we introverts hang out online, because hanging out with people IRL is a bit outside of our comfort zone. I usually test as INFJ , but it's been awhile since i took the test. The IN never changes, but the FJ sometimes does.

INFJ--Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging The Mystic/Counselor I've taken this test 3 times in a year, and I get the same thing each time. It describes me in many ways as accurately as my horoscope does (I've been an amateur astrologer for 35 years) so it certainly resonates with me. The only thing I ran across that contradicts my chart is "disfavored careers". Two of them are race car driver and information technology consultant. I work as a computer consultant to high tech companies (test engineer), and I've owned some pretty fast cars (and a couple of scary fast ones), and would LOVE to race for a living. All in all though, this is a real eye opener, and I think anyone could benefit from it.

INFP. its funny that most of the people participating are INFP's. im pretty close to the middle in all the areas, though i just lean a bit to the right on everything. we did this for a career planning class, and i think its going to help a lot. Also ive found that a lot of my good good friends are either very close (ENFP) or completely opposite (ESTJ)

I'm INFP but I don't think I'm as introverted as the results showed. I think a lot of the statements are very black and white - I tend to be more in the middle of the pendulum swing. If there had been degrees of response like "sometimes" then it might be more accurate. Some of my responses would be different if the wording wasn't so absolute. Sometimes I don't like big groups of people and Sometimes I prefer to be alone but not always - it depends on how I'm feeling at the time and how my day has gone.... It is interesting though how a handful of innocuous statements can "categorize" us easily.

Oohh - I love these discussions! I am an ENFJ - The teacher. That is also what I do for a career. Learning about Myers-Briggs (and David Keirsey's book, Please Understand Me) opened me up to a whole new world of introspection and an understanding of how to relate to people. I don't think one should approach personality typing like horoscopes, rather more like a tool through which you can reflect and understand yourself better. Seeing in print that I am a romantic idealist( and knowing in my heart that it is true) and really coming to understand some of the pitfalls of my way of thinking has really been a blessing as I embark on a new relationship.
