Prized Possession
I’m starting to look at stuff around the house with my ‘spring cleaning’ eyes, ie: what goes what stays -- and then I saw teddy. My dad bought me ‘teddy’ the day I was born -- (but I won’t say how old he is).

I found it! I received this record as a gift for my fifth birthday, my very own 45 by Captain Kangaroo! Fantastic! I had to add in this sucker, it is one of my favorites!

Beary - Heart to Heart Bear. I got her when I was 3 years old. I named her Beary and I don't know if anyone remembers (if you were a girl back in the 80's) they had PJ's that fit you and came with the same thing in doll size. I had these Beary Sweet Pj's and since they said Beary on them - I put the doll size one on her. As you can see, they are still on her. She still has the heart inside her and I'm pretty sure it still works. When I was a kid the heart beat used to wake me up so I never put batteries in them. Beary has been with me for years and I don't plan to ever part with her.

My treasure box. I made this thing over 40 years ago. It was my first shop project. Not my best work but i'm pretty sure that it will have to be pried from my "cold dead hands".

It had a false bottom (actually a piece of carpet) for secret papers (don't ask what kind of secret papers a 15 yr old might have), and there may have been a joint or two housed within the confines at one point or another.

This is my Winnie the Pooh teddy i have had him my entire life and when i was little he was the one I held when i was scared after a nightmare, he helped me through the fear and i will always rememeber

This is my panda nightshirt. I call it "my pandas." I got it for Christmas from my Uncle Gene in 1984. I still wear it and love it! My husband hates it and wishes I would get rid of it, but I will not part with my pandas!

Here I have my 2nd pair of baby shoes, the Tales of Peter Rabbit box set my mother read to me as a child and my high school gym shirt. I'm 41 years of age. :)

My stuffed dog Muttley was given to me when I was 1 year old - before that, he was my aunt's when she was in college. I used to carry him around by his neck, and over the years my mom realized that one day soon, his head would fall off and I'd be traumatized for life. One year around Christmas, she told me to leave him behind when I left for a sleepover. I came back, and SURPRISE!, SantaPaws had come in the night and had given Muttley a brand-new body! I knew it was the same old Muttley because he still had the same soulful black and golden eyes as always. Thank you SantaPaws. (aka Mom.)

Two of my favorite collectables, I have had for years! I have my mothers and aunts drawings from childhood, I couldn't upload them for some reason. Those are my most dear family heirlooms. I wish I could share them! Bottles for now!

This is me and my rabbit, Mimi. He's seen better days. I was born on Easter. My grandmother got this for me and I've slept with it ever since. Childish, I know, but until I get a tattoo of a rabbit, I will not let it go.

Not the best photo, but this is a stuffed seal I got when I was (I think) a year old. My great-grandmother used to patch her up, but poor Mrs. Seal no longer has anyone to do that for her. I'm in my teens and I still can't sleep without her.
