(Un)comfort Zones

I know it’s good to get out of our comfort zone, because it can be when change happens, but there are some things that really give me that uncomfortable feeling in the pit of my stomach.

1. Small talk

arrogance

1. Walking in to a quiet room full of people.
2. Passing someone on the sidewalk who is walking the same direction as me, only slower.
3. Weird people, i.e. the local crazy guy that walks up and down the street all day muttering things to themselves who all of the sudden gets the urge to come over and start talking. You don't want to be rude, nor do you want to take the chance that by saying that you have to leave will bring out the true crazy nature of the person and they will all of the sudden become belligerent, so you just kind of stand there and nod and wait for them to get done talking and go away.

The list goes on infinitely. Anything that involes human interaction with a serious adult (I'm supposed to be a serious adult by now) but I will never be a serious adult. I don't get along with many people either.

2. Realizing there are more days behind me than ahead of me. (Never thought about it before, but I just turned 60 so...)

3. Sudden loud noises.
